Veterans Day Ceremony

November 11, 2023
I played the Scottish Highland bagpipes this morning for a Veteran's Day ceremony at Tri-City Adventist School in Pasco, Washington.

Amazing Grace was played at the end of the indoor program.

Highland Cathedral, Lord Lovat's March, and Scotland The Brave were played to lead everyone outside to raise the flag of the United States of America.

It was a pleasure to play for the veterans and their families in attendance today.

Russell Clouse Graveside Service

This sunny afternoon, I played Scottish Highland bagpipes for Russell Clouse's Graveside Service at Riverview Heights Cemetery in Kennewick, Washington.

As family and friends arrived, I played:
Lament For Red Iain; Chrò Chinn t-Sàile; High In The Hills; and Hector The Hero.

I played Going Home as the casket was carried from the hearse to the grave.

I played Amazing Grace and Highland Cathedral as flowers were placed on the casket and it was lowered to its final resting place.

Chuck Bertleson Celebration of Life

On this beautiful Northeastern Oregon afternoon, I played Scottish Highland bagpipes for Chuck Bertleson's Celebration of Life at Milton-Freewater Jr Show & Sale in Milton-Freewater, Oregon.

Tunes played as guests arrived included:
Guiness Rambles/The Mill The Mill O'/Bonnie Lass of Fyvie; Chrò Chinn t-Sàile; The Price of the Pig/Oft The Stilly Night/Rocking the Baby; The Mallow Men March/Murdo's Wedding; and Lord Lovat’s March.

I played The Flower Of Scotland and Scotland the Brave during the ceremony.

On this crisp, sunny morning, I played Scottish Highland bagpipes for Jason Postlewait's funeral at Assumption Catholic Church in Walla Walla, Washington.

I played Amazing Grace for the recessional and Going Home as the urn was placed in the hearse.

9/11 Memorial Event

September 11, 2024
This morning, I played Amazing Grace on the Scottish Highland bagpipes for a 9/11 Memorial Event at the 9/11 World Trade Center Memorial Monument located at the Southridge Sports & Events Complex in Kennewick, Washington. A four-firefighter detail lowered the US flag and folded it as I played Amazing Grace.

Skweez The Weezle at 2024 Tumbleweed Music Festival Teaser Concert

August 30-September 01, 2024
I played Scottish smallpipes and Celtic whistle as the founding member of Celtic band Skweez The Weezle for the online virtual Tumbleweed Music Festival as part of the weekend's live Tumbleweed Music Festival in Richland, Washington's Howard Amon Park. The live/virtual festival is presented by Three Rivers Folklife Society and co-sponsored by the City of Richland.

Margaret Mathew Celebration of Life

On this beautiful sunny day, I played Scottish Highland bagpipes for Margaret Mathew's Celebration of Life at Kirby Billingsley Hydro Park in East Wenatchee, Washington.

Upon arrival, I played Lament For Red Iain and Chrò Chinn t-Sàile off in the distance from the pavilion where family and friends were gathered.

I marched to the pavilion playing Guinness Rambles, The Mill The Mill O', and Bonnie Lass of Fyvie.

Once at the pavilion, I played Danny Boy, The Flower of Scotland, Scotland The Brave, Loch Lomond, Lord Lovat's March, Amazing Grace, Drops of Brandy, and The Foxhunters Jig.

I marched off playing Return From Glengarry.

Dee Meek Celebration of Life

This late afternoon, I played the Scottish Highland bagpipes for Dee Meek's Celebration of Life at Barnard Griffin Winery in Richland, Washington.

Guiness Rambles, The Mill The Mill O', Bonnie Lass of Fyvie, Danny Boy, Oft The Stilly Night, and Rocken The Baby were played as family and friends were gathered.

I played The Mallow Men March to lead everyone into where the service was.

The Parting Glass was played at the end of the service.

I played The Flower Of Scotland and Scotland The Brave as family and guests filed out for food and drinks.

I played shuttle pipes, Scottish Lowland bagpipes, and whistle this evening as Celtic band Skweez The Weezle's founding member at the Tumbleweed Music Festival Teaser Concert. The concert venue was the outdoor stage at Tumbleweeds Mexican Flair restaurant in West Richland, Washington.

This afternoon, I played the Scottish Highland bagpipes for James Odermann's Memorial Service at Sunset Gardens in Richland, Washington.

High In The Hills, Chrò Chinn t-Sàile, Lord Lovat's March, Sun Gan, and Hallelujah were played as family and friends arrived.

I played Taps and Amazing Grace as the US flag was folded.

I opened the service playing The Skye Boat Song.

I played Amazing Grace during the service, just before Military Honors.

I closed the service playing Going Home.

I played at the Market Stage on Scottish Highland bagpipes, shuttle pipes, Scottish smallpipes, and whistles; and throughout the afternoon around the grounds on Highland bagpipes.

70th Blossom Ladies Golf Tournament

This evening, I played the Scottish Highland bagpipes at the conclusion of Saturday's play of the 70th Blossom Ladies Golf Tournament at the Yakima Country Club in Yakima, Washington.

The Mallow Men March, Murdo's Wedding, and Lord Lovat's March were played as I marched up the 18th fairway to the 18th hole.

I played The Flower Of Scotland and Scotland The Brave at the 18th green, continuing into the clubhouse.

While in the clubhouse, I played Oft The Stilly Night/Rocking The Baby, The Wearin' O' The Green/Rakes of Mallow, The Flower of Scotland/ Farewell To The Tay, and The Mill The Mill O'/The Bonny Lass Of Fyvie.

"Pub Crawl" to Promote Prosser Scottish Fest

I played Scottish Highland bagpipes for a "Pub" Crawl throughout Prosser, Washington to promote the 22nd annual Prosser Scottish Fest and Highland Games to be held on June 15. Downtown Prosser venues where the pipes were played included The Prosser House, El Caporal, Bill's Speakeasy, Free Expression Studio, Jade's British Girl Treats, Bern's Tavern, Horse Heaven Hills Brewery, and the streets of downtown Prosser.
