This afternoon, I played the Scottish Highland bagpipes for Patrick Cornett's Memorial at Mountain View-Colonial DeWitt Cremations & Funeral Services in Walla Walla, Washington.

I played Lament for Red Iain and Chrò Chinn t-Sale as family and friends arrived.

I played Amazing Grace to end the service.

"Pub" Crawl to Promote Prosser Scottish Fest

I played Scottish Highland bagpipes for a "Pub" Crawl throughout Prosser, Washington to promote the 21st annual Prosser Scottish Fest and Highland Games to be held on June 17. Vintner Village venues where pipes were played included Airfield Estates, Smasne Cellars, Wit Cellars, Milbrandt Vineyards, Thurston Wolfe, Martinez & Martinez Winery, and Cork and Taps by Domanico Cellars. The pipes were then played at Wine Country RV Park. Downtown Prosser venues where the pipes were played included The Prosser House, El Buen Gusto, Bill's Tasting Room, Bern's Tavern, Horse Heaven Saloon, and the streets of downtown Prosser.

Al Mundle Celebration of Life

This sunny morning, I played the Scottish Highland bagpipes for Al Mundle's Celebration of Life at Walla Walla Country Club in Walla Walla, Washington.

Chrò Chinn t-Sale, Lament for Red Iain, and Lord Lovat’s Lament were played as family and friends arrived.

I played Amazing Grace as I marched through the room at the end of the service.

I then marched around the outside of the clubhouse playing Scotland The Brave, The Mallow Men March, Murdo’s Wedding, and Lord Lovat’s March.

Peggy Jo Brown Celebration of Life

High In The Hills, Chrò Chinn t-Sale, Lament for Red Iain, Lord Lovat's Lament, and Suo Gan were played as family and guests arrived.

Amazing Grace was played within the service. Going Home was played to end the service.

Michaela Buckholt Funeral and Graveside Service

This morning I played the Scottish Highland bagpipes for Michaela Buckholt's Funeral Service at St. Paul Cathedral in Yakima, Washington.

High In The Hills, Lament For Red Iain, Chrò Chinn t-Sale, and Suo Gan were played in the courtyard as family and guests arrived.

Amazing Grace was played at the end of the service. Highland Cathedral was played as the casket was taken to the hearse.

I then played for Michaela's graveside service at Terrace Heights Memorial Park in Yakima, Washington.

I played Going Home as the casket was taken from the hearse to grave.

On this cold and sunny morning, with a lot of snow on the ground, I played the Scottish Highland bagpipes for Glenna Baker's Graveside Service at Highland Cemetery near Elgin, Oregon.

Lament For Red Iain, High In The Hills, and Lord Lovat's Lament were played as family and guests arrived.

Amazing Grace was played during the service.

The Bagpipe Bash

I played Scottish Highland bagpipes this evening at The Bagpipe Bash in Quincy, Washington. The bash was a Robert Burns Dinner and Fundraiser to support the Quincy High School Choral and Theatre Departments. It was held in the Heritage Barn on the grounds of the Quincy Valley Historical Society & Museum.

I played Lord Lovat's March to lead the Parade Of The Haggis. Several jigs, reels, and marches were played as dinner was being served.

Jeanne Dyke Celebration of Life

January 21, 2023
On this cold, snowy afternoon, I played the Scottish Highland bagpipes for Jeanne Dyke's Celebration of Life Service at the Yakima Country Club in Yakima, Washington.

The Wearin' O' The Green was played as family and guests arrived.

High In The Hills and Lament For Red Iain were played as the carriage carrying the remains made its way up the road.

As the remains were gathered and carried into the building, I played Danny Boy.

I played When Irish Eyes Are Smiling to start the indoor service.

College Place Fire Dept. Association Awards Banquet

I played Scottish Highland bagpipes for College Place, Washington fire fighters and their families at the College Place Fire Department Association Awards Banquet in Walla Walla, Washington. The banquet was held at the Courtyard by Marriott. I played many tunes and told stories about the tunes.

Tunes that I played during three sets this evening were: The Battle of Waterloo; The Gravel Walk; Guiness Rambles; The Mill The Mill O'; Bonnie Lass of Fyvie; Scotland the Brave; Murdo's Wedding; Farewell to the Tay; The Atholl Highlanders; Cullen Bay; Highland Cathedral; Lord Lovat's March; The Price of the Pig; Oft The Stilly Night; Rocking the Baby; The Wearin' o' the Green; The Rakes of Mallow; and Return From Glengarry.
