Veterans Day Ceremony

November 12, 2018
I played the Scottish Highland bagpipes this morning for a Veteran's Day ceremony at Tri-City Adventist School in Pasco, Washington. Amazing Grace was played at the end of the indoor program. Highland Cathedral was played to lead everyone outside to raise the flag of the United States of America. It was a pleasure to play for the veterans and their families in attendance today.

Larry Ross Celebration of Life

November 10, 2018
I played Scottish Highland bagpipes this afternoon for Larry Ross's Celebration of Life service at Hermiston Church of the Nazarene in Hermiston, Oregon. Amazing Grace was played to end the service as the urn was taken out of the church.

International Daze Show

I played Scottish Highland bagpipes this afternoon for the International Daze Show of singing and dancing. The show was a fund raiser for local Tri-Cities animal shelters. Fraternal Order of Eagles Lodge 2458 in Kennewick, Washington hosted the well-attended event.

I played Scottish Lowland pipes and whistles this evening with Celtic band Skweez The Weezle at the 22nd annual Tumbleweed Music Festival at Howard Amon Park in Richland, Washington. The festival was presented by Three Rivers Folklife Society and co-sponsored by the City of Richland.

Scott Cliett Memorial Service

August 19, 2018
I played Scottish Highland bagpipes this afternoon for Scott Cliett's memorial service at the Brookside Funeral Home in Moxee, Washington. A selection of tunes were played as guests arrived. Scotland The Brave started the service. Going Home and Amazing Grace were played during the service. The service was ended with Highland Cathedral and Mrs. MacLeod of Rasaay.

I played Scottish Lowland bagpipes, tenor mandola, and whistles this evening with Celtic band Skweez The Weezle at Mid-Columbia Library in Kennewick, Washington. The performance was in support of the Mid-Columbia Libraries Summer Reading Challenge 2018.

We had to move into the shade under the trees by the library building to get out of the sunny 96 degree F heat at the Highland Grange Park Amphitheatre next door to the library.

PSF "Pub" Crawl and Smoking Anvil Keg Parade

June 08, 2018
I played Scottish Highland bagpipes for a "Pub" Crawl throughout Prosser, Washington to promote the Prosser Scottish Fest and Highland Games to be held on June 16. Bannerman John-Paul Estey and members of the Prosser Scottish Fest organizing committee, along with members of Celtic band Skweez The Weezle were with me throughout the evening. We started off with a Tapping of the Keg Parade from Horse Heaven Hills Brewery through downtown Prosser to Horse Heaven Saloon, where a keg of this year's Smoking Anvil Scottish Ale was blessed in front of an appreciative crowd.

Local venues where pipes were played included
Bern's Tavern, Bill's Tasting Room, Cafe Villa, Prosser Eagles Lodge, El Buen Gusto, El Caporal, Golden Yan Restaurant, Horse Heaven Hills Brewery, Horse Heaven Saloon, Mustang Grill and Skating Rink, Prosser Food Depot, and Shy's Pizza Connection.

I played Scottish Highland bagpipes for a "Pub" Crawl throughout Prosser, Washington to promote the Prosser Scottish Fest and Highland Games to be held on June 16. Bannerman John-Paul Estey and Melanie Estey were with me throughout the afternoon and evening. Local venues where pipes were played included Becky's Coffee Corner, Brewminatti, County Line Tasting Room, Coyote Canyon Winery, Ginkgo Forest Winery, Horse Heaven Saloon, Martinez & Martinez Winery, McKinley Springs Winery, Milbrandt Vineyards, Thurston Wolfe Winery, Wine Country RV Park, and Wine O'Clock.

Skweez The Weezle, for many years. It’s always good to be back.

Kathryn Sharman Funeral and Graveside Service

March 01, 2018
I played Scottish Highland bagpipes this afternoon for Kathryn Sharman's funeral service at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Grandview, Washington. Amazing Grace was played at the close of the service. Highland Cathedral was played as the casket was carried from the church to the hearse. I also played at her graveside service at Grandview Cemetery, in Grandview, Washington. Going Home was played as the casket was carried from the hearse to the gravesite. Amazing Grace was played to end the service.

Burns Night Dinner at the Plungs

January 27, 2018
I played the Scottish Highland bagpipes, penny whistle, and mandolin at the Plungs' 7th Annual Burns Night dinner in West Richland, Washington.

I played a selection of tunes to start the evening off right. Tunes included Scotland the Brave and Murdo's Wedding; Summertime Summertime, Piper's Wet Coat, and Welcome The Piper; Mrs. MacLeod of Rassay; Amazing Grace; Swallow Tail Jig, The Kesh Jig, and The Irish Washerwoman; Return From Glengarry; and Lord Lovat's Lament.

The haggis was piped in with Guiness Rambles, and out with The Mill The Mill O'.

I played whistle and mandolin to accompany Pat Patterson as he led guests singing Loch Lomond, Don't Give Up 'Til It's Over, and Auld Lang Syne.
